me: ya

she: my comp got hung up..i had to restart it..my all telnet sessions
       got screwed up :(

me: dont u use vnc?

she: virtual network computing?

me: ya

she: what difference does it make?

me: session state is stored on the server..so closing the session
      window at client or restarting client pc wont affect the session..
      u can reconnect to the server and access the same session.

she: wow..that sounds interesting..

me: yeah.

she: session state being stored on the server..can we access the
       same session from some other machine by connecting to the
       server?

me: u r absolutely right!!

she: thats awesome..

me: :)

she: u r gonna help me do vnc setup.

me: sure.

she: btw...hv u tried cntr+shift+F9 in salamander??

me: no.

she: just try it..

me: wow..thats gr8.salamander rocks!!

she: i know.

she: hey, it's 4 15. coffee time.. u coming?

me: sure




..an imaginary chat..would like to have such kinda girl as a friend..nothing else..

Salamander....any special reasons you think a girl with knowledge on that software would make a good friend? I mean how is the friendship thing related to Salamander? If you mean networking with like-minded humans then why should it necessarily be a lady?

Girls who can appreciate good softwares are very very rare. I have been telling about this amazing Software to all my friends for at least 6 years. I have found very few (Of course boys) who can appreciate it. Not a single lady has taken the pains to download and install it. :( Thus a lady who can appreciate it, must certainly be someone special. :P

Besides, the post is not necessarily about Salamander. It's about finding a girl who can appreciate Computer Science , in general . I hope, you get my point.

Btw, you can have a look at Salamander and tell me how you find it. :)
